About this project

In mid 2024, Valley was approached by a business owner based in Gisburn to discuss improvements to their existing security infrastructure. After initial consultations and site assessments, Valley was formally awarded the contract to take over the maintenance and future development of the site’s CCTV system in late 2024. The existing system, previously installed by another provider, required significant reconditioning and lacked adequate coverage of the external yard area.

Valley undertook a comprehensive evaluation of the current setup and implemented a new, upgraded CCTV system using Hikvision technology. This included reconfiguring existing equipment where possible and deploying additional high-definition cameras to ensure robust, all-weather surveillance across critical external zones.

Over the 2024 Christmas period, Valley collaborated closely with the client to design a strategic expansion plan for the surveillance network. These plans focused on enhancing perimeter visibility, improving incident detection capabilities, and ensuring full operational integration with remote monitoring features.

In addition to the CCTV project, Valley was commissioned to deliver a reliable internet solution for the site. Due to the lack of Openreach fibre or copper infrastructure in the area and with no foreseeable plans for rollout, Valley deployed a high-performance 4G LTE broadband connection to serve the client’s operational needs. This included the installation of an external directional antenna and enterprise-grade router to provide stable and secure internet access suitable for both general business use and remote CCTV viewing.

This project demonstrates Valley’s ability to step in, modernise legacy systems, and deliver tailored connectivity and security solutions in rural and underserved areas.
